Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest, Inc. is pleased to announce a $30,000 donation from the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation in support of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile in the Permian Basin.

The gift will support the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, which serves children in the Permian Basin area who would otherwise not have access to adequate health care. The Care Mobile is a partnership between Ronald McDonald House Charities and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. The Care Mobile is equipped with two patient exam rooms, a reception area and a medical records area. A pediatrician is on call at all times for referrals from the Care Mobile. The Care Mobile is staffed with three medical personnel at all times. There have been 7,000 documented patient visits to the Care Mobile since its inception.

The King Foundation gift will be used to support this vital program.

"We are so appreciative of the generosity of the King Foundation and overwhelmed by this gift which will help so many children in the Permian Basin," said Dina Jeffries, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest.
